I've read up on quests, stats, and all that fun stuff, but still need some help. I have several questions.
1. When you use an item from the quest item slots to solve a problem, do you automatically get/keep the bonus it gives for the duration of the mission? Or does it only apply when you KEEP the item rather than use it?
2. Can you bust through the challenges in quests by using hypers?
3. How exactly does the HP mechanic work? It's hardly mentioned at all. I've never seen an HP mechanic in play up to this point.
4. When restating, do you lose your bonus base points given through hypers or the hypers themselves? I've been told that.
5. Can temporary items from Rompings be used in Quests? I assume they can.
The answers to these questions will effect my stating. I have not yet allocated my Level 35 Stat or Hyper.
Current Stats:
STR: 11, 2 Hypers
INT: 15+1, 2 Hypers (+1 is Pokedex permanent item)
MAG: 12, 1 Hyper
HOT: 11 (Planning to take hidden missions at some point)
FAN: 15, 1 Hyper
All Boss Shields
Current items:
2 Dirty Socks (+4 STR each)
Cupcake of Power (+2 STR/+1 STR Hyper)
2 Spells of Unzipping (+2 MAG Hypers Each)
Magical Girl Manga (+10 XP per MAG fight won)
Emo Live journal (+3 FAN)
One Chatper of Fruits Basket (+4 FAN)
Unused Soap (+2 HOT/+2 FAN)
For one day, these give me an additional
STR: +10, 1 Hyper
MAG: + 4 Hyper
HOT: +2
FAN: +9
Assuming I can use these items, this allows for an effective current maximum stating of:
STR: 21, 3 Hypers (Taking into acocunt the +2 per hyper, the STR stat against the first boss would be 27)
INT: 15+1, 2 Hypers
MAG: 12, 5 Hypers
HOT: 13
FAN: 24, 1 Hyper
All Boss Shields
What stats do you recommend I boost, and by how much? I want to use as few item boosters as possible, though I'm willing to use them all if I must. I'm thinking take all the Fangirl missions by boosting my fangirls stat with items, boost my INT by a minimum of 3 levels to meet those challenges, cream the boss with the STR items I've saved up, and finish the remaining two challenges by using the in-quest items. However, this uses up all but 1 of my one use items, though it gives me freedom to stat toward the next quest early. I'm not taking into account stat bonuses for the in-quest items.
What do you guys recommend?
